Richard Dean is the pastor and founder of Restoration Community Church located on the east side of the city of El Paso, Texas. He is originally from Miami, Florida, but spent many of his formative years in a rural community in South Carolina called Yonges Island, located near Charleston. He has been married to the former Myra D. Holly for 30 years, and have 3 three children, India, Micah and Noah. Their daughter India however, succumbed to complications of leukemia in May of 2006. Pastor and Lady Dean used their broken spirit from the devastating loss of their daughter, and began foraging forward in ministry. In late 2006, Pastor Dean received both the vision and the commission of the Lord to open the doors of Restoration Community Church, and on July 1, 2007, the doors of the church officially opened at El Dorado High School, and continues to affect the lives of both the El Paso and the Fort Bliss communities.
Our pastor is also a military veteran, and served in the United States Army for nearly 23 years, retiring at the highest enlisted rank of Sergeant’s Major. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Park University, and a Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministries from Grand Canyon University. Pastor Dean continues to seek out ways to better himself as both a pastor and a minister, so that the people he shepherds and teaches, could reach their full potential in God, and come into biblical literacy and understanding. It has always been our pastor’s desire to see the body of Christ learn and grow, and to develop a personal and a deeper relationship with the Lord. For this reason, in early 2014 Pastor Dean founded the Restoration School of Effective Ministry, which is a school that is design to bring relevance to the body of Christ by empowering believers to do the work of the ministry through proper biblical interpretation, effective teaching, understanding that the bible is the authority over all things, and through knowing how the bible addresses every issue of life and the world.
Pastor Dean and the Restoration Community Church is also a part of the Covenant Connection Incorporated (CCI), which is a covenant relationship with the founders and leaders, Bishop Nate and Valerie Holcomb and the Christian House of Prayer church family located in Killeen, Texas.
